Joseph TY Yin was born in Hong Kong in the 50s. After finishing school in Hong Kong he went to Canada to further his studies in 1973 and later moved onto the Brooks Institute of Photography in California in 1976. After obtaining a degree in commercial photography he joined Kevin Orpin & Associates in 1980. Joseph later set up his company Pro Color Lab. In 1983 he was also the CEO of Sinder Advertising Company Limited. In 1985 he became a director of Dah Chung Industrial Corporation Limited, the family business. Joseph also set up his trading company Links & Resources International Limited in 1987. He retired in 2007 and contínues to pursue his photographic interest, focusing on wildlife and relics around the world.

尹德粤 於 50年代出生於香港，1973年到加拿大求學，於1976年轉至美國加州布祿仕攝影學院主修商業攝影，1979年取得攝影學士學位，1980年初加盟KOA其後開設 Pro Color Lab 廣告沖印公司，於 2007 年開始退休。
