Soft Opening of Blue Lotus Viewing Room in Ghent, Belgium

We are pleased to announce the opening of Blue Lotus Art Projects Ghent, our new European location dedicated to Asian photography, books, and visual culture.
The space will soft open from 3 to 11 October 2026, alongside a programme by Design Museum Gent in the same building. This initial opening gives us the opportunity to introduce Blue Lotus Art Projects Ghent to the public while welcoming visitors attending the Design Museum’s programme. During this period, we will be open daily from 11:00 to 19:00, inviting visitors to explore the new space, browse our books, discover the inaugural exhibition, and meet the people behind the project.
Building on the spirit of our Hong Kong gallery, Blue Lotus Art Projects Ghent extends our focus on Asian photography and visual culture to Europe. Envisioned as a place for exchange, discovery and encounter, the space will bring together photography, books, prints, works on paper and other forms of visual storytelling.
Through exhibitions, publications, talks, curatorial projects and future gatherings, Blue Lotus Art Projects Ghent will serve as a European platform for Asian photography, fostering dialogue and collaboration with artists, audiences, museums and cultural spaces interested in Asia and its diverse visual cultures.
For our introductory exhibition, we will present works by Fan Ho, Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze, and Ian Lambot, bringing together three distinct perspectives on Hong Kong and its changing landscapes, architecture, and visual identity.
This soft opening marks the beginning of Blue Lotus Art Projects Ghent, with further exhibitions, events, and collaborations to follow.
