“One City, Two Tales, Echoes of Hong Kong: Past and Present" presents an artistic dialogue showcasing the profound evolution of Hong Kong through the lenses of two extraordinary artists, Fan Ho and Romain Jacquet-Lagreze, for the very first time in Belgium.

Fan Ho, a legendary figure in the world of photography, is celebrated for his remarkable black and white images that capture the essence of mid-20th century Hong Kong. His masterful use of light and shadow, combined with a keen eye for composition, creates a mesmerizing narrative within each frame. Fan Ho captures the essence of a bygone era of Hong Kong in the 50’s and 60's, inviting you to explore the rich heritage and intimate moments that shaped the city's history. Widely recognized internationally, Fan Ho is an influential figure in the art of photography.

Complementing Fan Ho's iconic imagery, Romain Jacquet-Lagreze's contemporary photographs offer a fresh and vibrant perspective on Hong Kong's present-day urban landscape. His colorful compositions bring to life the soaring skyscrapers, bustling streets, and the energy of the city's inhabitants. The focus of Romain JL will be from his two latest photobook publications released in 2022 “Concrete Stories’ and ’36 Views of Lion Rock along so far unpublished work ‘City Poetry
