Photographer Rensis Ho, book designer Benny Au, and curator Lau Tung-Pei will lead a panel discussion at 4:00 PM.
Benny Au will discuss the book’s design concept and visual approach.
Rensis Ho will revisit the original photo sessions and creative atmosphere.
Lau Tung-Pei will share the origins of the publishing project and the curatorial context of the Hong Kong and Taiwan exhibitions.
A Q&A session will follow, offering readers the opportunity to engage closely with the creative team.
攝影師 Rensis Ho、攝影集設計師 Benny Au 及策展人 劉東佩 將於下午4時舉行分享會。Benny Au 將講解攝影集的設計概念與視覺構思；Rensis Ho 會回顧1998年的拍攝經過與當時的創作現場；劉東佩則分享整個出版企劃的緣起，以及香港與台灣展覽的策劃脈絡。分享會後設有問答環節，並安排簽書時間，讓讀者與創作團隊近距離交流。
About the Photobook
Photographed by Hong Kong photographer Rensis Ho, the book presents a side of Ryuichi Sakamoto beyond the international music icon: a gentle, reserved, and contemplative intellectual.
In a studio setting without a predetermined script, Sakamoto gazes calmly into the lens, reclines freely, and interacts with the photographer’s dog. Moments of quiet reflection—resting his chin in thought or brushing back his hair—form the emotional core of the images. This is not Sakamoto on stage, but his most authentic self on a winter day in Hong Kong in 1998.
About the Photographer
Over the past three decades, Rensis Ho has photographed numerous international and local figures, including Isabella Rossellini, Kate Moss, Pharrell Williams, Jay Chou, Anita Mui, and Stephen Chow.
Specialising in portrait and still life photography, he focuses on capturing the inner essence of his subjects. His black-and-white portraits are particularly noted for their depth and quiet strength.
About the Publisher
Founded in 2025 by Lau Tung-Pei—curator and founder of the Hong Kong photography platform PhotogStory—DEVEDO is one of Hong Kong’s few dedicated photography bookstores. The space regularly holds exhibitions and hosts talks, actively promoting photography and visual culture.

本書由香港攝影師 Rensis Ho（何耀燊）掌鏡。
他鏡頭下的坂本龍一，不只是國際音樂巨匠，而是一位隨和寡言、神情深邃的智者。
在沒有預設腳本的攝影棚中，教授自在地直視鏡頭、隨興躺臥，甚至與攝影師的寵物狗互動。那些托腮沉思、撥弄頭髮的瞬間，構成影像中動人的「刺點（Punctum）」——這不是舞台上的坂本龍一，而是1998年香港冬日裡最真實的一面。
設計概念：向《Discord》致敬
攝影集設計靈感源自1997年《Discord》專輯封面。
當年封面由日本著名設計師 中島英樹（Hideki Nakajima）設計。2022年中島離世，本書封面由香港設計師 Benny Au 操刀，既呼應《Discord》的視覺語言，也是對故友的一份致敬。
整體設計概念以「黑膠專輯」為想像——

Design Concept: A Tribute to Discord
The design draws inspiration from the cover of Sakamoto’s 1997 album Discord, originally created by renowned Japanese designer Hideki Nakajima. After Nakajima’s passing in 2022, the cover of this book was designed by Hong Kong designer Benny Au—both echoing the visual language of Discord and serving as a tribute to a departed friend.
